We praise God for bringing this ministry to its 73rd year! In a country where morality is sadly decaying, Moorlands Camp continues to showcase a Christ-Centered way of life to Jamaica’s youth, while offering wholesome, clean, fun. Please consider partnering with us in sharing the love and example of Christ with Jamaica’s next generation of leaders. (Remember that as a registered charity, all donations to Moorlands Camps are tax-deductible.)
UPDATES
Summer Camp 2011
This summer, we had the privilege of hosting our largest camp ever- 763 people. 186 counselors and 577 campers attended. Of these campers, 221 made decisions for the Lord! This year, the Discipleship Camp (formerly known as “INVI”) was also re-introduced and was hugely beneficial.

Property Improvements
We praise God that in the last 3 years, we have seen many improvements to the Camp property, the latest of which is this October’s Camp Kitchen Upgrade! We are so grateful to all who gave to make these improvements possible!

We Remember, with Love
In the past year, we have said goodbye to five precious members of the Moorlands family- Mr. Cyril Burgess, Mrs. Ella Lucy De Carteret, Ms. Maxine Williams, Ms. Helen Cassidy, and Mrs. Patricia Hum. We give thanks for the lives and work of our beloved brother and sisters.

WE NEED YOUR HELP!
WATER INDEPENDENCE PROJECT
Being located in Manchester, where water from the main can be scarce and unpredictable, it is of the utmost importance to us to secure our water supply.  In order to do this, we need to increase storage capacity and install new guttering on all the camp buildings.

CAMP SITE REPAIRS
The site is in dire need of repairs to roofs, windows, bathrooms and fencing.

PLEASE PRAY FOR:
• Summer Camps 2012
• A hurricane-free, earthquake-free season
• Funding for the necessary repairs and improvements to the camp site
• Wisdom for Managers and the Lord’s vision for Moorlands in 2012 and beyond.

We thank those who continue to support Moorlands Camp with prayers, time, energy and giving. Have a blessed Holiday Season!

In His service,
Rachel, Djuvane, &The Moorlands Family

This year we praise God for bringing us to our 75th anniversary. We are truly amazed at how God has sustained this ministry through so many years. Over the years, we have sown the seed of the Gospel through God's word with so many. Like Jesus described in the Bible,  there have been some who heard the message about the kingdom and did not understand it.The seed falling on rocky ground refers to someone who hears the word and at once receives it with joy. 21 But since they have no root, they last only a short time. When trouble or persecution comes because of the word, they quickly fall away. 22 The seed falling among the thorns refers to someone who hears the word, but the worries of this life and the deceitfulness of wealth choke the word, making it unfruitful. 23 But the seed falling on good soil refers to someone who hears the word and understands it. This is the one who produces a crop, yielding a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown.”Some have outright rejected the message of Christ. Some have received it with joy, but We have seen thousands of lives impacted and transformed by the knowledge of God. There have been others who have wanted to serve the Lord, but the cares of this life, and the deception of wealth have won them over. There are others who
