What You Should Know BEFORE Booking

Please take a moment to review our policies for booking the facilities for retreats and mission trips outside of the summer camp season (July & August). These differ from our Summer Camp Policies.

Forms

The mandate of Moorlands Camps is to see people come into a relationship with Jesus Christ, or to see their existing relationship with Jesus enriched. For this reason, we require that you sign on to our Statement of Faith and List of Guidelines. We also ask that you send us a Statement of Faith/Code of Conduct from your church /organization. All groups must complete and return these along with our Reservation Form and proof of deposit payment to our office at least eight (8) weeks before arrival day to ensure your booking is secured.

Rates & What's Included

Rates are charged on a per person per night basis. All rates quoted grant full access to the dormitories, kitchen, meeting areas, games field, pool, basketball and volleyball courts, cement ping pong table, and more. Additional fees will be charged for the rock climbing wall and zip line, the rental of AV equipment, the rental of sports equipment, and for appartment style rooms.

Minimum Required Booking

A minimum required booking of 40 people for local groups and 25 people for international groups is required. For groups below the minimum, a flat rate will be charged which is equivalent to paying for the minimum required booking. For popular weekends, such as the Easter Weekend and Heroes Weekend, the minimum required booking is 60 people per night for three nights.

Reservations/Deposits

All groups must make their reservations through the camp office and pay a non-refundable deposit. This deposit will be applied to the group's final bill. If a deposit is not received at least eight (8) weeks before the camp date, the space will be opened to other groups. Final balance is due at least 1 week before the first day of camp. For popular weekends, such as the Easter Weekend and Heroes Weekend, a greater deposit will be required.

Catering Service

Catering Service is provided for a minimum of 40 people for local groups and 25 people for international groups. All groups must confirm final numbers for catering at least 1 week prior to arrival by contacting the camp office so that appropriate supplies can be ordered. Once confirmation is made, your group will be charged for total meals reserved. Please let us know any special dietary requirements or food allergies your group may have at least 1 week before the start of camp. Our kitchen staff is highly experienced. We require that at least one member of our kitchen staff be used by all groups. If additional staff is needed, we will be pleased to provide them. Cooks work from 6AM to 4PM on regular days but are happy to work overtime also.

Check In and Check Out

Check-in time is between 3 and 5 p.m. on the first day of your booking. If the group is unable to arrive before check-in time on arrival day, a camp leader must be sent ahead as a representative. Check-out time is 1:00 p.m. on the last day of your booking. An early check-in or late check-out may be requested through the camp office subject to availability.
